Is the next Virtual Stitch-in really in October?
August 26, 2016
Yes, Lynn and I are going to be at the Sew Pro conference on the normally scheduled date, and some additional travel/family commitments in September mean that we don’t have a good Friday night to host it.

I’ve been thinking about joining a local quilting guild. I was part of a sewing guild several years ago. There were some lovely ladies that participated but there were two (in leadership roles) that were the reason i stopped going. Recently, I’ve been wanting to find some quilters to join and found a guild in the next town over (guilds in my town are during the day which i can’t do as i am working). I just found out one of the two aforementioned ladies attends the meeting i was thinking about going. I’m now at a loss of what to do. I want to find some folks to quilt with but am scared she will take the fun out of it. Dilemmas, dilemmas.

I do not know if I would count as a dedicated quilter. Not enough time to spend on it, usually only a couple of hours on a weekend and not all of them, either. But I think a lot about it, buy books and magazines and just love to dream and plan.
Retirement also is some 20 years off.
