  1. Idea: The Clamshell Quilt. I visualized you quilting it in circles the size of the clam. You’d create a 2ndary Orange Peel pattern when the circles overlap. Quick, modern overall pattern. Thanks for renewing your contracts!

  2. Loved this episode. Other than very small projects, I have been a “topper” so far and sent my quilts to a longarmer for quilting. I have become a little more comfortable with the idea of doing the actual quilting of a quilt myself and enjoyed your discussion and the awesome ideas and insights from this episode.

Don’t recall if you’ve covered this topic on a show before, but I’d love a discussion about how start quilting my quilts on my own. I have a domestic machine with no stitch regulator. How would you recommend quilting a quilt with those qualifiers and what tips/tricks would you recommend?

BTW, I recently purchased Jacquie Gering’s book Walk, which covers using a walking foot instead of free motion quilting. Looks like a great resource but I’m still pretty intimidated and haven’t found any classes in my area on this topic.

  3. I listen to your podcasts while I do longarm quilts and love all your banter. After listening to this episode, and finishing the quilt , I had to come up and watch the show so I could see the quilts. Really enjoy these sessions on how to quilt.
