  1. I was taught quilting in 1974 by a woman who said that all piecing and quilting must be done by hand. Her method for applique was basting the pieces. I still baste my applique shapes. Am I an n=1?

  2. Lovely Show! Appreciated all of the comments about applique (I am totally an applique nut!) I would also recommend any book by Mimi Dietrich who has made applique very do-able and easy. My “Go to” applique method is back basting and I have also used Barb Eikmeier’s book in classes where I teach at the Fiber Art Center of the Eastern Shore. Keep up the wonderfully entertaining Stitch Show! You gals are a hoot! 🙂
