Holiday Schedule for The Stitch TV Show

Lynn and I promised ourselves that we’d get a chance to slow and relax after our trip to Houston, and that’s sort of the case. We have lots of promising ideas to follow up on from the contacts we made, and with some other things brewing, I wanted to share our updated video schedule:

  • Tutorial videos will keep dropping on Tuesdays!  We’re thinking of another video series like a quilt along to run, but for November and December you’ll see one-off’s like mounting quilts on canvas, how to use a font generator to create applique for name on a quilt, and continue our partnership with the Quiltmania family of magazines.
  • November has five Fridays, so we’re going to do an hour-long virtual stitch-in on this coming Friday November 22 in lieu of the usual book club slot, and then on the fifth Friday we’ll drop a pre-recorded video about our trademark journey.
  • A new talk show episode will drop like usual on Friday December 6, the last of the episodes recorded before our Houston trip.  We’ll then catch up to real time for the usual talk show episode on the 20th.
  • In 2020, our virtual stitch-ins will continue on the 2nd Fridays, but will shorten to an hour instead of the previous ninety minutes.  As we consider having guests join us, apparently 90 minutes is an intimidating amount of time; we won’t always have a guest, though, so you won’t lose the interplay magic that is The Stitch! That fourth Friday slot may be a virtual stitch-in or may be a pre-produced video – we’re playing it by ear as we figure out new ways to bring online quilt community together.

As always, leave a comment or email us if you have an idea for a talk show topic, tutorial video, or other segment ideas!
