Behind the Quilt: Mascots

Over the end of the year break, Pam spent some time paper piecing up a storm and creating these two portraits of Vinnie and Stitch, the Stitch TV Show mascots. To be fair, these remember Glamour Shots more than portraits, although lacking the popped collar and blue eyeshadow from the popular 80’s mall stop.

Beyond the paper piecing for the pattern, Stitch the Dragon got some Inktense pencil embellishment to soften the harshness between the cream of his face and the lighter green scalp. He also got a bit of bling on some top scales to really jazz him up.

Stitch’s pattern is available as a free download from Fandom in Stitches.

For “Vinnie Goes Beyonce”, he also got a little bling to jazz up his portrait.  The flowing mane really makes the look in his case!

Vinnie’s pattern is available from RobynIE as a digital download, and she has lots of tips for coloring the main in a rainbow effect, too.
